Training and Clinical Experience:
Petrine completed her Bachelor of Social Work at the National University of Singapore and her Masters in Counselling at the Edith Cowan University. She is a registered social worker with the Singapore Association of Social Work.
Petrine has experience working with various clients throughout her carrer in various organisations such as the Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home where she was a Senior Social Worker, and Fei Yue Family Service Centre as a Principal Social Worker and the Head of Department. She also journeyed with over 100 Master Student Welfare Officers at the Ministry of Education (Singapore) through training sessions and clinical supervisions. Petrine conducted workshops and training sessions such as “Crisis and Risk Assessment”, “Dealing with Grief and Loss”, and “Going Beyond Problem Solving: The Satir’s Model of Therapy”.
As a practitioner, Petrine has experience supporting individuals and couple clients in their varying issues. She also supports parents as she is familiar with Singapore’s school system and understands the challenges faced by parents and students with school attendance issues.
“This too, shall pass” is a quote that Petrine identifies with during challenging times. It also reminds her that positive circumstances will pass too and thus treasures her loved ones with gratitude.
