What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational Therapy (OT) is a healthcare profession that works with individuals of all ages who have difficulty participating in meaningful daily activities such as self-care, play, work, school tasks, and leisure activities.

Through the use of therapeutic activities, occupational therapists address the physical, developmental, socio-emotional, and cognitive challenges that affect an individual’s ability to perform tasks that are important to them.

What you can expect from an Ark Occupational Therapist: 

Assessments and Intervention:
Our Ark Occupational Therapists are trained to provide assessment and intervention for clients who experience the following challenges:

– Sensory processing/integration
– Fine motor skills
– Handwriting skills
– Gross-motor skills
– Self-care skills
– Visual perceptual skills
– Cognitive skills
– Social skills

At present, Ark’s occupational therapy services serve children ages 0 to 18 years old. Please contact our friendly administrator to inquire about services available for adults aged 18 and above.

Fee

1. The therapy fee is collected before the session via PayNow.

2. Every extension of 15mins will be charged at 25% of the fee.  

3. No-shows, rescheduled requests, or cancellations received within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment will be charged 100% of fee, for time allocated for the appointment. Cancellation due to medical or other emergency matters, the fee may be waived on a case-by-case basis.
