What is Speech Therapy
Speech therapy encompasses care and intervention for a range of conditions that affect an individual’s capacity to understand, express themselves, and eat throughout their lifespan.
At present, Ark’s speech therapy services serve children ages 0 to 18 years old. Please contact our friendly administrator to inquire about services available for adults aged 18 and above.
What you can expect with an Ark Speech Therapist
ARK’s speech therapists are dedicated, professional, and family-centric in their work. They are adept at carrying out a range of standardised and play-based assessments, sharing assessment outcomes, and setting clear objectives to help you achieve your goals.
Below is a list of interventions commonly provided:
– Early Language Services: focusing on developing joint attention, communication intentions, and a range of communication functions.
– Speech and Articulation Services: focusing on improving a child’s pronunciation and speaking intelligibility.
– School- Age Language Services: focusing on improving language for formal and academic use.
– Feeding and Swallowing Intervention: using either the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach or Dysphagia Management.
Fee
Initial Consultation | $ 150 exclude GST |
Individual Therapy | $ 180 – $220/session exclude GST. Each session is about 45 min to 1 hour. |
1. The therapy fee is collected before the session via PayNow.
2. Every extension of 15mins will be charged at 25% of the fee.
3. No-shows, rescheduled requests, or cancellations received within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment will be charged 100% of fee, for time allocated for the appointment. Cancellation due to medical or other emergency matters, the fee may be waived on a case-by-case basis.
